WATCH: Boy drowns in Dreamland Resort pool on New Year's day

If only there was a lifeguard and people around knew CPR, a boy who drowned in a Dreamland Resort pool on New Year's day could have been saved.

The resort is located in Caloocan City, Metro Manila.

According to Shane Ibanez, who uploaded a video on Facebook, the tragic incident happened at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017.

She said there was no lifeguard and not even first aid.

As can be seen on the footage, it seems that the woman who tried to help does not have proper training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Based on the comments, the onlookers were criticized because no one rushed the poor kid to the Bernardino General Hospital which, according to netizens, is just nearby.

The video has gone viral online, garnering more than 347,000 views and over 4,000 shares on social media.

As of this posting, the resort management has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
