Dumaguete residents fear of tornado near Bacong, Negros Oriental

Residents of Dumaguete City expressed fear after a tornado formed near the town of Bacong, Negros Oriental, which was captured on video.

According to a certain Rogerlito Isic, the twister was seen around 2 p.m. today, July 4. He did not elaborate.

Netizens said they are baffled why sightings of this natural phenomenon have become frequent.

Last Saturday, July 2, a huge tornado also formed near the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport in Tacloban City, which is around 433 kilometers away from the Municipality of Bacong.

Does the geographical location of these towns in the Visayas region have something to do with the formation of tornadoes, waterspouts or supercells lately?
