GMA Artist Center forgets Maine Mendoza in tweet, earns flak from AlDub fans

GMA Artist Center, the talent management arm of GMA Network, earned flak from AlDub fans after it forgot to include Maine Mendoza in a tweet.

"The crowd gathered to see #AldenRichards at the Cebu IT Park for @CocaColaPH event. Wow! Alden you are phenomenal..." GMAAC posted on its Twitter account last Thursday, June 23.

While both Alden and his love team partner are endorsers of Coca-Cola products in the Philippines, Maine is not managed by GMAAC. This is apparently the reason why she was not included in the controversial tweet.

The career of Maine, also known as Yaya Dub for her trending Dubsmash videos, is being managed by Triple A, the talent agency of TAPE Inc. president Tony Tuviera, executive producer of the country's longest-running noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! aired on GMA-7.

AlDub fans however argued that Maine should have been included in GMAAC's tweet because they came to the Coke event as a love team, as what TAPE Inc. does everytime the famous pair has a guesting or appearance.

Following the backlash, GMA Artist Center replaced its first tweet with this one:

AlDub fans praised the talent agency saying it was the right move considering that Alden and Maine are both Kapuso stars.
