An open letter addressed to Vice President Jejomar Binay, which admonishes the presidential aspirant, has gone viral via social media.
Actress-comedienne Cynthia Patag shared it on her Facebook timeline on Monday, October 19. The letter reads:
Patag is a known Binay critic. Last August, she aired her grievances against the Vice President after the latter delivered what he called the "True State of the Nation Address (TSONA)."
In an open letter posted on the same Facebook account, the former "Palibhasa Lalaki" supporting actress pointed out that Binay failed to perform his most basic function as the country's second highest-ranking public official.
Patag, who claimed that Binay has no conscience, asked the politician to stop taking credit for Makati.
Actress-comedienne Cynthia Patag shared it on her Facebook timeline on Monday, October 19. The letter reads:
Dear Mr. Binay,
[Your latest ad says "Why is it that the one called dark-skinned, short is the same one who sends thousands of children to school and provides Senior Citizens in Makati medicines for free?"]
[With due respect - why is it that Makati is still the benchmark of your achievements when in fact you have been the second top-ranking official in the Philippines for (almost) 6 years (now)? Have you replicated your accomplishments in Makati in at least one city? I may not have noticed it. I hope you also boast about it in your ads.]
(We don't really care if you look like a fowl with dark meat or a midget. It looks like you were hurt with the mockery. Don't mind it, it's not your greatest flaw, there's a lot more. Just ignore them.]
[My real question is, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE AS VICE-PRESIDENT? Is it only Makati that you can make progressive? (If it's true that you did it.) Why should we trust that you can do something for the Philippines? It seems what you want to replicate is the billions you allegedly amassed in Makati.]
[Mr. Binay, becoming a President is a RESPONSIBILITY, not an OPPORTUNITY. The Philippines must be protected, not to be profited off.]
[But I am truly impressed with your STRONG BELIEF AND CONVICTION - with your own LIES.
Lubos na umaasang hindi ka manalo (Fully hoping that you will not win],
