WATCH: World War 2 veteran serenades 93 year old dying wife

There is forever when it comes to love. This has been proven by a World War 2 veteran who serenaded his dying wife in this viral video.

Social media user Erin Solari recently published the touching video on both Facebook and YouTube.

In the caption, she said that at the time she took the video, her 93-year-old grandmother, Laura, was at a hospice care and suffering from age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss and blindness among Americans aged 65 and older.

When Laura heard that her husband, Howard, was in the room, she asked if she could hold him. Erin said her grandfather cannot stand on his own, but pulled his wheelchair closer to the bed of his dying wife. Erin's cousin, a physical therapist, held him up while their theme song was being played.

Laura is too weak to sing, as can be seen in the clip, but her 92-year-old husband took over and sang lines of their favorite song while stroking her face.

The title of the song is “You’ll Never Know” by Rosemary Clooney with Harry James. Erin shared that the lovely couple has been singing it during family gatherings and also performed it in a duet at the reception after renewing their marital vows in time for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Doctors originally gave Laura one week to live, according to Erin, but management of the hospice facility allowed her to go home and spend her remaining days with Howard and the rest of the family. She's still with them, resting peacefully, at the time Erin posted the video.

Love moves in mysterious ways, indeed.
