Honest tricycle driver returns bag with over P100k cash

Despite being poor, an honest tricycle driver returned a bag containing over P100,000 cash to its owner. He was rewarded for the good deed.

According to a report aired on the morning show Umagang Kay Ganda recently, Ronnie Villahermosa was parking near the Zamboanga City International Airport when a passenger suddenly got onto his tricycle.

After the passenger reached his destination, the tricycle driver immediately went back to the airport to wait for other travelers. He then noticed a bag and decided to turn it over to the police station.

Cops found out that the bag contained important documents, identification and credit cards, as well as money.

The Zamboanga International Airport Police Station (ZIAPS) head identified the owner of the lost and found items as Col. Neptali Felis Viollena, who forgot his bag in Villahermosa's tricycle after chasing a car where his smartphone was left.

The soldier reportedly gave the honest tricycle driver P1,000 as reward.
