A Sunstar Superbalita report identified the detained workers as Alexis Lausa Duron, 34, from Sto. Niño, Barangay Matina Crossing; Michael Dadang Damba, 27, a resident of Purok 1, Magallanes, Barangay 2-A; and Eric Ganio Ramos, 18, who lives in Skyline, Bangkal.

Duterte was passing by the Bankerohan Bridge in downtown Davao at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday when he saw the three laborers, who took their clothes off, in the area.

Based on the blotter entry made by Police Officer (PO) 1 Kian Paul Bargio, Precinct No. 2 desk officer on-duty, the city mayor got irked after seeing them along the highway naked.

Duterte must have thought they were unpleasant to look at, sort of eyesores especially to tourists, so he brought them to the police station.
