Adam Levine bombarded with powdered sugar

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine was bombarded with powdered sugar at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood before his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Reports said the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, in a parking lot behind the studio of the late-night talk show while the band vocalist was talking to fans and signing autographs.

The 36-year-old pop rock singer and Voice coach was with his wife when the assailant threw a bag full of sweet white residue on his face and body. His security escorts were also hit with the confectionery dust.

The suspect, believed to be in his mid-30's, was arrested for battery by police. A witness reportedly said it was unclear if the man was protesting for any particular cause.

It was found out that the same attacker was also arrested last week for allegedly throwing a rock at actor and wrestling star Dwayne Johnson.

Adam Levine cleaned up the powdered sugar and changed clothes before his guesting. He did not mention the incident to Kimmel and just went on to perform the hit single Sugar with his group.
