Delivery boy sets LPG store on fire after quarrel with wife

Following a quarrel with his wife, a delivery boy allegedly set a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) store in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on fire.

The suspect, identified as Joseph Lungcog, said his wife's badmouthing that cost him his work triggered him to do it, ABS-CBN News reported.

Lungcog admitted that he got desperate when his employer refused to take him back after his wife told the latter he was stealing LPG tanks.

Not only that, he said his wife, who works as cashier in the same establishment, was having an affair with a fellow employee and, as if rubbing salt to the wound isn't enough, both allegedly threatened to kill him.

The suspect reportedly said he intentionally opened an LPG tank and detached an electric cable, causing a spark that triggered the blast. However, some witnesses said he used a lighter.

Aside from his injuries and the possibility that his wife will leave him permanently, Lungcog now has more problems. The fire he had allegedly set at the LPG store also affected 7 other business establishments and a house.
