The 22-year-old actress-turned aspiring beauty queen, officially known as Teresita Ssen Marquez, daughter of showbiz and political personalities Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, was a crowd favorite.

She received the She's so JAG, Best in Talent, and National Costume awards. Netizens said she was better than the other candidates during the Question and Answer (Q&A) portion.

Asked what her message of peace to the Filipinos is, Winwyn said: "Learn the importance of dialogue."

Wurtzbach, who also won Miss Creamsilk, meanwhile, gave social media users an advise. The new Bb. Pilipinas-Universe said: "We should be careful with what we post online. Always think before you click."

The 25-year-old model and makeup artist from Cagayan De Oro City will represent the country in this year's Miss Universe competition.

Winwyn, on the other hand, didn't win. She was shut out of the top crowns and didn't even place. This prompted a lot of viewers to turn to Twitter to voice out their dismay.

While many questioned the verdict, some accepted the loss and encouraged Winwyn Marquez to join next year's Bb. Pilipinas pageant.
