Kendra Sunderland video scandal: Student arrested for cam show in library

Kendra Sunderland, a former Oregon State University student who in a scandal video performed a cam show inside the library, has been arrested.

Various reports said she was taken into custody by Oregon State Police and charged on Tuesday with public indecency, which could cost her up to $6,250 in fines and up to one year in jail. She was cited and released.

The scandal video, which shows Sunderland, 19, doing some nasty acts while apparently chatting with someone, was taken in October at the sixth floor of the crowded Valley Library in Corvallis.

Many students wondered how she was able to strip and film herself for a little over half an hour without getting noticed. Some expressed dismay over the embarrassment she brought to campus.

The video made its way online and went viral as students were sharing it via social media. Others browsed adults sites hoping to view or download a copy of the racy images.

Speaking to reporters, OSU spokesperson Steve Clark said school officials found out about it on the same day they alerted the authorities.
