Celebrity sweethearts Heart Evangelista and Senator Chiz are now officially Mr. and Mrs. Escudero after they tied the knot over the weekend.
According to a report on Yahoo! Celebrity Philippines, the couple exchanged marital vows at the Balesin Island Club in Quezon Province yesterday, a day after Valentine's Day.
Heart, who is 14 years Chiz's junior, walked down the aisle without her parents, Rey and Cecile Ongpauco, who both objected to the union, but left a message for her parents.
Though her parents did not attend the ceremonies, her sisters Mich and Camille were present.
Meanwhile, the best man, who is none other than President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, was not able to attend the nuptial, but would instead be present at the wedding reception on Wednesday in Manila.
The grand ceremony will be at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in the city of Parañaque on February 18.
