Brother Eli Soriano's #NoynoyPaRin tweet trends

Brother Eli Soriano launched #NoynoyPaRin on Twitter to express his opposition to the call of some priests for President Aquino to resign.

Recently, Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal read a statement from the National Transformation Council saying the President must step down from power.

However, the archdiocese of Cebu clarified that Vidal does not support the call for Aquino's resignation, but believes that the commander-in-chief is accountable for the Mamasapano incident.

For this, Soriano used social media to criticize the priests for meddling in government affairs. In a series of tweets, the evangelist expressed his support for Aquino. He also took a swipe at other religious groups.

The hashtag has been trending for two days as Filipinos around the country and abroad had put their thoughts into words, posting positive remarks about the chief executive.
