A concrete pavement that serves as exit road at Ayala Abreeza Mall in Davao City collapsed Saturday. A photo of the incident has gone viral.
Fortunately, no vehicle was damaged and nobody was hurt because it happened prior to mall hours, Sunstar reported.
Luigi Escano, Abreeza mall operations manager, told the news outlet that the road collapsed at around 8 a.m. of January 31.

The concrete pavement is beside the Aeon Towers, which is under construction.
A source told Coolbuster.net that water passes under it when there's heavy rain, although this information was not independently verified.
Escano reportedly assured the public that the mall's main building is "structurally sound" and unaffected as it is separate.
The repair is expected to last for over a month, the report said.
After the incident, worried and scared mall goers turned to Facebook and asked: "What if the road collapsed during peak hours?"
