Bulacan Wall Collapse: 11 Dead Including Pregnant Woman

The Bulacan wall collapse at a warehouse building being constructed in Guiguinto town killed at least 11 people including a pregnant woman.

Various reports said the tragic incident happened at around 3 p.m. on Monday, January 19, when the wall of a warehouse building, which is under construction in Barangay Ilang-ilang, collapsed for a still unknown reason.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Bulacan Provincial Director Ferdinand Divina told reporters that at least 15 persons were hit, eleven of them died while the four who sustained injuries were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The identities of the casualties have yet to be released and authorities are investigating the cause of the Bulacan wall collapse.

The building is reportedly owned by a certain Dante Chua. Town mayor Ambrosio Cruz Jr. said the owner and contractor has some explaining to do. Recent reports said municipal engineers have started inspecting the site on Tuesday.
