It appears that the Facebook page of nationally-circulated newspaper Manila Bulletin has failed to provide the public accurate information.
On Tuesday, October 21, the publication's FB page posted a photo of an overloaded tricycle with the following caption:
While its true that Duterte prohibited trikes from plying their routes along national highways in Davao City, saying that "he wants hard-headed tricycle drivers plying along national highways shot to death," the town of Bansalan is not covered by his mandate.
"Bansalan, Davao del Sur is out of Mayor Duterte's jurisdiction. It is not a part of Davao City. Get your facts straight and know your geography," Facebook user Jose Eduardo Chua commented on the page.
"Wrong info. Bansalan is not part of Digong's turf," netizen John Tamayo added.
Manila Bulletin's photo got 205 likes and 25 shares as of this posting, but it is expected to go viral in the next few days unless they will edit the caption or take the picture down.
The writer obviously didn't do his assignment. To avoid the "epic fail," he should have done some research using Google or Wikipedia to know the correct details.

Overloaded and traversing the national highway, the driver of this tricycle and his companion in Bansalan, Davao del Sur should be warned of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s threat to keep major thoroughfares free of these slow-moving vehicles. (Alexander D. Lopez)
