According to a report on PhilStar.com, undersecretary Reydeluz Conferido of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said that after passing the special licensure examination, the HK domestic helpers who passed the LET now have a choice to return to the Philippines and work as teachers.

The government will open 40,000 job vacancies for them, he said.

"We don't know yet how many of them will accept our offer, but what the DOLE is giving them is the genuine option to go back and practice their profession," Conferido reportedly said.

The labor official added that teachers working as domestic helpers will be prioritized in available teaching positions, in line with the implementation of the K to 12 program.

Aside from this being a good news, it means the result of the licensure exam for teachers will be out soon.
