FEU suspends classes due to bomb threat

Far Easter University (FEU) Manila declared class suspensions Thursday, July 31, due to a bomb threat.

On its Twitter and Facebook accounts, the school posted the following announcement:

The University officials of FEU Manila and FEU Tech have decided to call off classes today (July 31, 2014) due to a suspected bomb threat.

The university is working closely with Security Personnel to address the situation and secure the campus. Please vacate the premises immediately in an orderly fashion.

According to an ANC report, security officers of the university received a call at around 11 a.m. warning that a bomb has been planted inside the school campus.

DZMM correspondent Noel Alamar reported that the Manila Police bomb squad arrived at FEU in Morayta to search the area. More details will be known later today.
