According to a tweet, the cast members for the movie adaptation of the bestselling young adult romantic novel include Daniel Padilla as Kenji delos Reyes, Kathryn Bernardo as Athena Dizon, Liza Soberano as Athena Abigail, Enrique Gil as Lucas, Sharlene San Pedro or Miles Ocampo as Sarah, Nash Aguas or Marco Gumabao as Jigs, CJ Novato as Kirby, Julia Montes as Grace, Sam Concepcion as Nathan, Grae Cameron Fernandez as Carlo, and Megan Young as Kendi.

Authored by Bianca Bernardino, the story is about two teenagers who eventually fall in love amid a pretend relationship. In the film, Daniel plays the role of a young gangster, sort of officially becoming the younger version of his uncle, action star Robin Padilla, who was dubbed "Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema" back in the early 1990's.

The movie version of the famous Wattpad story is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. Filming was said to have started last March and the release is rumored to be scheduled in August.

There's no confirmation about the She's Dating The Gangster Cast yet due to the lack of official word from the film producer.
