The comedian and television host cried tears of joy after watching the breaking news inside the studio of "It's Showtime" on Thursday, April 10.

Navarro was emotional while thanking his manager, lawyer, colleagues, fans, family, children and girlfriend for the support, understanding, and trust. He also gave his co-hosts and director a tight hug.

According to reports, the Department of Justice found no probable cause on the rape charge filed by Cornejo. Her legal counsel, Atty. Howard Calleja declined to comment on the matter saying they have not received a copy of the resolution.

In her affidavit, the 22-year-old model-stylist said Navarro raped her inside her condominium unit last January 22. It was on the same night that Cornejo's friend, businessman Cedric Lee and companions allegedly came to her rescue.

Lee admitted in an interview that he mauled the TV host-actor, but denied allegations that his group blackmailed and extorted money from him.

Cornejo, Lee and others involved in Navarro's mauling—Bernice Lee, Simeon Raz, Ferdinand Guerrero, Jose Paolo Calma and Jed Fernandez—might be arrested soon after the DOJ formally filed before the Taguig Regional Trial Court a case against them for serious illegal detention, a non-bailable offense.
