Slimmers World is the organization behind Miss Bikini Philippines, the competition which the 24-year-old aspiring beauty queen joined in 2010.

Cabañero alleged that the television host-comedian raped her sometime between April 24 to 27 of that year.

According to ABS-CBN News, Slimmers World demands that she pay P1 million "for the damage sustained by [the organization's] goodwill and business reputation" besides the P400,000 as corrective damages and P205,000 for legal costs.

Slimmers World executive vice-president Helen Camacho reportedly said the case filed last Tuesday, April 8, was raffled to judge Max de Leon of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 143.

Cabañero's repeated and unwarranted mention of the competition and its organizer in her rape complaint as well as interviews caused moral damages to Slimmers World.

In its complaint affidavit, the organization said:

There is no mistaking that [Cabañero] made mention of Miss Bikini Philippines for no other other purpose but to generate publicity, if not sympathy, for her purported plight, to the prejudice of the goodwill of [the pageant and the organization].

The unnecessary but malicious inclusion/mention of [the pageant and the organization] led to Miss Bikini Philippines being publicly condemned for 'failing to protect its contestants.'

Roxanne Cabañero violated pageant rules when she supposedly entertained visitors within the contest period, Slimmers World reportedly said.
