The Christian Science Monitor reports the incident involved five cars containing crude oil and four containing propane. The oil train was supposed to transport the products to an oil refinery in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Canadian National Railway spokesman Jim Feeny reportedly said the engineer and conductor of the oil train are both safe and uninjured although some cars have continued to burn the following day.

A video of the incident might have been recorded but is not yet available, some web sources say. This was not independently verified.

At a press conference Wednesday, Feeny reportedly said an investigation to determine the cause of the train derailment in Canada is underway.
