He reportedly said to the guards "Si Mayor Binay ako. Baka pwedeng makiraan lang". He was not permitted due to the village rules.

This statement got different reactions from netizens as it went viral on social media.

Binay spokesman Joey Salgado stated that there was no arrest made and the security guards voluntarily go with the police, Salgado  called the report "false and downright malicious."

That 'no arrest made' statement was also confirmed by Ram Antonio, owner of the Right Eight Security Agency.

Vice president Jejomar Binay refuses to comment about it as the case is being solved.

While Senator Nancy Binay  who was also present during the said run-in in her neighborhood, has released her statement on the matter.

"It is really heartwarming to know that there are people who are not swayed by the malicious story in the Inquirer and spiteful posts in social media. It is apparent that there are people bent on putting the name of my family in bad light. The so-called Dasmarinas incident happened three weeks ago and we have forgotten about it. What was reported in the Inquirer had glaring biases and bends.

The video does not capture what really happened. No amount of explanation would satisfy those who have never-ending dislike for our family. All parties have already explained their sides and have resolved the matter civilly long before the news landed above-the-fold in the Inquirer. In the spirit of Christmas, I pray that we all work for peace and reconciliation instead of kindling hate.

The issue has already been good-naturedly settled-all's well that ends well. This is a season of giving and forgiving. Time to move on. To paraphrase a fave line, 'this is my first and last official statement on the incident'. Please understand if I can hardly take your calls at the moment. I hope you will allow me to have some private time with my kids and my family since Christmas is just a few days away. Maligayang Pasko!"
