Megan and company were visiting an orphanage in Port Au Prince Haiti when the second floor of the structure, which is about 8 to 10 feet above the ground, collapsed.

The pageant’s official website posted that the Filipina beauty queen managed to “land on her feet” and “escape injury.” Her crown was undamaged.

Also, more than a dozen children who rushed to see Megan were miraculously unhurt or have only suffered small cuts and bruises.

Unfortunately, Miss World chairman Julia Morley and a child identified as Jonathan suffered injuries. X-ray results revealed Julia had a fracture on her hip area and Jonathan on his leg.

Julia was airlifted from Haiti to Miami for an immediate surgery. She is reportedly recuperating at the Jackson Memorial Hospital after undergoing a surgical operation to put her hips together.

Jonathan received treatment at a local medical facility.

Megan, meanwhile, is spending time with her family in the US.
