ABS-CBN Mobile sim cards and prepaid loads are now available in selected stores, it was unveiled in a new TV ad video aired Monday night.
The video features Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Kim Chiu, Enrique Gil, Bea Alonzo, and John Lloyd Cruz telling viewers to buy ABS-CBNmobile load and sim card for the benefit of Super Typhoon Yolanda victims.
The ABS-CBN Mobile logo was also highlighted at the end of the video.
There’s no formal announcement yet, but it seems the ABS-CBNmobile TV ad, shown during the commercial break of the network’s primetime news program TV Patrol on November 18, signals a green light for the country’s third telecommunications player.
Earlier, the network said it will roll out ABS-CBN Mobile before 2013 ends.
ABS-CBNmobile phone service is a partnership between Globe Telecom and the Kapamilya network, the largest multimedia company in the Philippines.
Update: We’ve been informed that ABS-CBNmobile was already launched last November 16. It has reportedly given 100,000 free SIM cards to Yolanda survivors.
