Bagyong Quedan intensifies into a tropical storm - PAGASA

Bagyong Quedan has intensified into a tropical storm, state weather bureau PAGASA reported. Check out the updates and developments here.

Tropical Storm Quedan

At 4am Tuesday, October 1, the center of Tropical Storm Queadan was spotted at 790 kilometers East of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It forecast to move North at 7 kph.

No public storm warning signal has been raised so far.

Earlier, weather forecasters said the estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 to 15.0 mm per hour (heavy to intense) within the 400-km diameter of the Tropical Storm.

Bagyong Quedan, PAGASA added, is not expected to directly affect any part of the country.
