Of the figure, sixteen percent represents the number of takers from Southern Luzon and more than 11% will come from the National Capital Region.

According to the Civil Service Commission, the written exam will be administered in 143 designated testing centers nationwide except Bongao, Tawi-Tawi and the cities of Lamitan and Zamboanga where the conduct of tests has been postponed to November 10 due to the unstable peace and order situation.

Eighty six percent of the total number of examinees are set to take the professional level, a 3-hour test which covers 150 questions in English and Filipino on reading comprehension, paragraph organization, vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, logic, analogy, and numerical reasoning.

The rest will be taking the subrofessional level that lasts two and a half hours and covers 145 questions on the same subject areas except analogy and logic which are replaced by spelling and clerical operations, respectively, the CSC said.

The Commission reminded takers to check and print their school and room assignments via the Online Notice of School Assignment. Examinees will be required to present the notice along with a valid identification card on the day of the exam for verification purposes.
