Powerball winner claims $400 million jackpot prize

The lone winner of the $400 million Powerball jackpot prize last week has come forward Monday to turn his lucky ticket in, reports said.

The instant millionaire, who preferred to remain anonymous, told lottery officials he bought the ticket at the Murphy Express in Lexington, South Carolina last Wednesday, Good Morning America reports via ABC News.

Upon stopping for gas, he went inside the store to look for hot dog buns his wife asked him to buy, but the food item was unavailable.

He then saw the huge Powerball jackpot and decided to purchase tickets worth $20. The rest is history.

Pure luck, isn’t it? The Powerball winner was destined to become rich.
