Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) commander Ustaz Habir Malik, who led the attack in Zamboanga City, has been allegedly killed.
ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Jorge Cariño reported on TV Patrol Friday night he received information from a “reliable source” that Malik is believed to be one of those who were shot by government forces during a firefight in Lustre Street in said city.
Cariño noted that the information is yet to be verified by authorities.
Malik is said to be a top aide of MNLF founder Nur Misuari. Reports said AFP records show he has three warrants of arrest for murder, frustrated murder, and attempted murder.
