On Twitter, Ateneo posted an announcement regarding suspension of classes on Monday, September 23, due to flooding caused by heavy rains.
“Per the QC govt, classes from pre school to High School are suspended today, sept 23,” was Ateneo’s tweet.
Students of Ateneo are awaiting the update on whether or not classes in the tertiary (college) level is suspended.
Meanwhile, state weather bureau PAGASA says there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of today, but the Southwest Monsoon is affecting Luzon.
In its Yellow Rainfall Advisory Number 1 issued at 2:45 this morning, PAGASA said moderate to occasionally heavy rains will be affecting Metro Manila, Cavite, Bataan and portions of Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, and Occidental Mindoro and most likely to continue for the next 3 hours.
The weather forecasting agency added possible flooding will occur in low-lying areas.
