PAGASA Weather Report - August 22, 2013 Habagat Update

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting Luzon and Western Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA reported in its weather forecast.

As of 5am Thursday, August 22, PAGASA said moderate to heavy rainfall is expected over Metro Manila and portions of Rizal within the next 3 hours.

However, heavy to intense rains is affecting Bataan and portions of Pampanga, Bulacan and Zambales and most likely to continue for the next 3 hours, the weather agency announced, adding that flooding in low-lying areas may still prevail.

Rainfall warning signal is Yellow, which means 7.5 to 15 millimeters of rain are expected to fall or have fallen, and most likely to continue for the next 3 hours.

As of today, there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), PAGASA added.
