ABS-CBN News reports that the actor-performer confirmed Wednesday that he will play the character of Santana, the ‘Queen of Tikbalangs’ (half-man, half-horse creatures from Philippine folklore), and it appears that he’s an antagonist in the fantaserye.

“Hindi ba na-associate na siya sa mga diwata? Tapos ako ay may galit sa mga diwata,” he said. “Siguro mayroong (fight scene) kasi lalabas sa akin yung latigo, ihahampas niya sa akin.”

Although he already played a horse in the 2010 remake of the comedy-drama film “Petrang Kabayo,” Vice Ganda said his role in the teleserye is something new.

Vice admitted that he will not be a regular in the series due to his busy schedule. He’s hosting two Kapamilya shows and is working on the MMFF entry “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy.”

Meanwhile, Coco said he is excited to work with the comedian. The multi-awarded actor assured viewers that they will enjoy watching the series even more with Vice Ganda joining its powerhouse cast.

Vice Ganda’s tikbalang character on “Juan dela Cruz” will be revealed on Monday, July 8. At the same time, viewers will also see the “Bakal na Krus” transform into a new weapon called “Latigo ng Katarungan” for the first time.
