The Buzz” host Toni Gonzaga blushed on air Sunday after she suffered a blunder for giving comedienne Eugene Domingo a different surname.

During a live interview, Toni mistakenly called the “Tuhog” star “Eugene Dominguez,” which caught everyone by surprise as promotional posters of the upcoming film bearing Eugene’s name were all over TV monitors inside the studio, besides the expected familiarity being close friends.

Trying to hide the pink tinge on her face for getting momentarily absent-minded, Toni reasoned out that while mentioning Eugene, she was thinking about actor-comedian Leo Martinez, who plays Tonio in the dark comedy film, and their surnames simply mixed-up.

Before the segment ended, the actress-comedienne called the TV host “Toni Gonzales” and threw more jokes to help her avoid embarrassment. She also said “Thank you. My name is Eugene Domingo” as her last words for the guesting.

A video of the surprising but funny moment is embedded below.

The cast of the movie includes Enchong Dee, Empress Schuck, and Jake Cuenca as Eugene’s love interest. Produced by Skylight Films and directed by Veronica Velasco, “Tuhog” will hit theaters on Wednesday, July 17.
