Radio and television reports said that according to Caloocan City PIO Gigi David, the class suspension in Caloocan City starts at 10 a.m.

On its Twitter page, the Department of Education (DepEd) said cancellation of classes in private schools in Caloocan is at the discretion of administrators, if they deem it necessary.

Earlier, it was reported that at least two towns in Laguna—Pakil and Pangil—have declared suspension of classes from pre-school to high school due to heavy downpour over the province’s fourth district.

Meanwhile, state weather bureau PAGASA said that as of today, there is no tropical cyclone existing within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, weather experts reported.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southeast to east over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, PAGASA added.
