According to a report on Summit Daily, authorities said Saturday that 35-year-old Jojo John, who drove the speedboat that slammed into a barge at a bridge construction site, is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter and three counts of vehicular assault.

Police suspected that John was operating the boat while intoxicated, leading to the crash that hurt Brian Bond and hurled his bride-to-be Lindsey Stewart and their supposed bestman Mark Lennon into the water.

A dead body believed to be that of Stewart was later found near the riverbank. Lennon, who’s still missing, has become subject of a search and rescue effort that has yet to resume Sunday morning.

It was Bond who called 911 to report the accident. He reportedly suffered serious head injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Westchester Medical Center.

Sources said the survivor was “in fair condition” but “unable to talk.”

Bond, 36, and Stewart, 30, were set to tie the knot at Good Shepherd Church in Pearl River next month. The Hudson River boating accident abruptly ended their romantic relationship.
