“Sunday All Stars,” a musical-variety program, will air soon, GMA-7 announced in a teaser video. The show replaces the defunct “Party Pilipinas” which was cancelled recently.
“Sunday All Stars” will feature “the brightest and hottest Kapuso stars” and “infuse a new level of noontime TV experience to Filipino viewers,” GMA’s press release stated.
“There will be 4 celebrity teams, with each team headed by a Kapuso artist who will participate for a showdown every week,” the network said.
Although the “Sunday All Stars” casts are yet to be known, the upcoming show is expected to bring “world-class performers, ground-breaking concepts, and inventive production numbers” every Sunday afternoon.
Update: The show will premiere on June 9. Various sources said the confirmed casts are Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Jaya, Janno Gibbs, Rachelle Ann Go, Jolina Magdangal, Jennylyn Mercado, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe, and Carla Abellana.
