Roel Manlangit is PGT 4 Grand Winner

Young singer Roel Manlangit of Bukidnon was named Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 4 grand winner during the show’s finale results night on Sunday, June 2, 2013.

Roel belted out a love song version of Bamboo’s hit OPM song “Noypi” on Saturday’s grand performance night.

The top 3 acts included cyr wheel dancer Frankendal Fabroa and acoustic musicians MP3 Band. Frank performed an interpretative dance routine to the tune of Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper” while MP3 Band played their own rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.”

PGT 4 grand champion Roel Manlangit gets to bring home the grand prize of P2 Million.

The 13-year-old singer, who comes from Valencia City, has proven wrong a speculation, which circulated online in late March, that this season’s champ is not a singer.

The first three “Pilipinas Got Talent” grand winners were all singers: the rockish-voiced Jovit Baldivino for season 1, falsetto singer Marcelito Pomoy for season 2, and the singing group Maasinhon Trio for season 3.

Overwhelming support from Roel’s fan base overseas and supporters in his home province as well as in the entire country helped him win the title.
