Pilipinas Got Talent 'no more' | Netizens complain about PGT grand finals result

Pilipinas Got Talent “no more,” said some netizens who complained about the result of PGT Season 4 won by Roel Manlangit, a 13-year-old singer from Bukidnon.

Commenters on our Facebook page expressed disappointment that another singer bagged the title as PGT grand winner since the previous champs were all singers (Jovit Baldivino, Marcelito Pomoy, and Maasinhon Trio).

“Pilipinas got singing talent!haha,” Facebook user Jun Jei Miguel Barlis posted.

“Kaya aq di na aq nanuod nyan! Wlang kwenta,” Ver Castro commented.

“Walang kwenta yan. ,singing contest na ata yan. . !pgt 5 no more. . !cgurdo singer n naman mananalo..” Jay-r Cristobal predicted.

Commenter Jonathan Montegrande Gumanoy hopes that singers will not be allowed to join the next season of PGT, adding that he’s already fed up with the usual outcome of the contest.

“Sana yung mga singing na talent d na epa sali sa PGT.. dun na lang sila sa The Voice.. nakakasawa na ang nanalo sa PGT,” he posted.

His remark was supported by Rona Chico Tria, who said: “No more PGT please... The Voice n lang lagi... Para di sayang ang ibang talents.”

On March 23, PGT judge Kris Aquino apparently hinted that the winner might not be a singer. However, Kris had a reservation after she saw the performance of Roel Manlangit, at that time a YouTube sensation.

In a brief conversation with co-judge Freddie M. Garcia (FMG), Kris said: “Di ba sinasabihan tayo Boss na sana hindi singer pero kung ganitong singer naman...deserving ng two million ito.”
