Dwyane Wade: Game 2 a 'must win' for Miami Heat

Dwyane Wade might have felt pressure when he said that Game 2 of the 2013 NBA Finals is a “must win” for his team. Miami Heat is 0-1 against the San Antonio Spurs in the best-of-seven-series.

“Obviously you don’t want to go down 0-2, going to San Antonio for three straight games,” Wade reportedly said Saturday. “Odds are not that good. They are not in our favor.”

The 31-year-old point/shooting guard added that it’s unusual for the team to really say too much “this is a must-win game,” but he said “this is a must-win game.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, only 3 of 31 teams were able to come back from 0-2 deficits to win the NBA Finals: Boston against the Lakers in 1969, Portland against Philadelphia in 1977 and Miami against Dallas in 2006.

The 2013 NBA Finals Game 2 between Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs happens Sunday, June 9, at the American Airlines Arena.
