Venus Raj has confirmed split up with Andrei Felix, her boyfriend for one year. “Yes it’s true,” the beauty queen-turned TV host admitted via Twitter.
Contrary to internet jokes, Venus clarified that she did not take a cue from her fellow-beauty queen Janine Tugonon, who also recently broke up with her boyfriend, reports ABS-CBN News.
After the news broke out on Thursday, netizens have been posting in social networking sites that “baka na-‘Janine Tugonon’ ni Venus si Andrei.”
The former celebrity couple has kept mum on the real reason why they ended their relationship, but there’s speculation that the family of Venus is against Andrei. However, Venus’ mother Esther Bayonito in a January interview said she supports her daughter’s love affair with the fellow TV host.
Last March, reports that they were booted out of ABS-CBN’s daily morning show “Umagang Kay Ganda” over an issue on ‘too much’ public display of affection (PDA) surfaced.
Showbiz observers think career-related concerns may have prompted Venus Raj and Andrei Felix to split up.
