Tornado hits grade school in Oklahoma is news that broke out on May 20. Reports said the tornado left at least 51 people dead and the death toll is likely to rise.

Videos of the aftermath of the tornado that slammed Moore near Oklahoma City in the afternoon of Monday have gone viral online.





Various reports said that the monstrous tornado which was about 2 miles wide set different structures and properties on fire and caused massive damage to buildings including an elementary school. Vehicles mostly cars were seen in videos piling up almost everywhere.

Police as well as search and rescue teams were reportedly searching for dead bodies and survivors possibly trapped under the rubble from houses and buildings that collapsed.

According to MSN News, an initial finding by the National Weather Service reveals that the tornado was an EF-4 on the Fujita scale, the second most-powerful type of twister.

ABC News reports that 51 people were confirmed dead by Oklahoma’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, while more than a hundred are receiving treatment at hospitals. Most of the victims were children.
