NJ Toddler Shoots Friend

An NJ toddler shoots friend was a tragic news that shocked the Toms River community. Police said a 4-year-old boy in New Jersey shot his 6-year-old neighbor-playmate in the head with a .22 caliber rifle.

According to The Epoch Times, police chief Michael Mastronardy said that “the young boys were playing” when the incident happened.

“The four-year-old went into the house, retrieved the rifle from within the house: a .22 caliber rifle,” he said. ”A shot went out, and the six year old was struck in the head.”

The victim was reportedly airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in critical condition. He was later identified by local media as Brandon Holt.

It was not clear who owns the gun used in the shooting.
