ABS-CBN decides to let Kris Aquino go; Official statement released

ABS-CBN has decided to let Kris Aquino go on temporary leave. The Kapamilya network has released an official statement about the decision.

ABS-CBN News reports that the network agreed with the 42-year-old TV host-actress to allow her to make a leave of absence in June to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother.

ABS-CBN’s official statement reads:

Kris will take a break from show business after the grand finals of the current season of Pilipinas Got Talent where she is a judge.

It can be recalled that on March 21, Kris made a shocking announcement on TV Patrol that she plans to resign from her ABS-CBN shows and quit showbiz amid her spat with ex-husband James Yap.

Two days later, ABS-CBN released an official statement stating that Kris will fulfill her commitments to her shows, but allowed her to take a short break. On same day, Kris and her sons Bimby and Josh flew to Paris for a vacation.

The “Queen of All Media” returned to the country before the PGT live shows started on April 6.
