Kidapawan earthquake at magnitude 5.1 - April 17, 2013

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has shaken Kidapawan around 5:51 on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. The USGS reported that the epicenter was located at 30 kilometers North Northwest of the southern city in Mindanao, Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the temblor has a depth of 10 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.

The quake was also felt at intensity 3 in the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Davao, and intensity 2 in GenSan.

There were no immediate reports of damage and casualty, the PHIVOLCS added.
