Jessica Sanchez appeared on the “Lights Out” episode of Glee on Thursday, April 25. The American Idol runner-up plays Frida Romero on the TV musical.
Frida, reports said, is a powerhouse singer from New Directions’ rival school and member of the Hoosierdaddies glee club.
The character appeared for a very short period when Will Schuester mentioned her after he saw her singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” in a room.
While many of her fans were excited and glad to see her on Glee, the three-second appearance was unexpected as some thought it would have been longer. Some expressed dismay.

Despite her brief appearance, the hashtag #JessicaSanchezOnGlee immediately became a trending topic on Twitter after the show.
That was the first of her three-episode guesting. Jessica Sanchez’s appearance on Glee will continue on May 2 and May 9.
