Arida, who was candidate number 41 in the competition, is a B.S. Chemistry graduate from the University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB) and has competed in the Miss Philippines Earth 2012.

During the Question and Answer (Q&A) portion, Arida’s question came from PNP chief Allan Purisima: “What lesson in life can women teach men?” which she confidently answered with:

“One lesson in life that women can teach men is being sensitive. Men are more logical when it comes to decisions. They’re rational and straightforward. Unlike women, we use our hearts and we tend to get emotional when we make our decisions. Sensitivity is something that we women can teach to men.”
