A 60-inch Apple TV might be announced within the year. Rumor has it that the computer giant would be selling a widescreen iTV for a hefty price.
Noting Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets, the CS Monitor reports that the upcoming television set will also be available in smaller versions, with sizes ranging from 50 to 55 inches.
There are two add-ons that draw tech people’s interest. Reports say that the so-called “iTV” will be shipped with an “iRing,” a remote controller that fits in the viewer’s fingers, and “mini iTVs” that can receive video from the main set wirelessly.
The purported “mini iTV” looks like a tablet, about the same size as the original iPad, reports say.
Despite the media hype, Apple has not given a clue about the rumored product, which will allegedly cost between $1,500 and $2,500.
