10 Band Members Die In Crash

News that 10 band members die in crash shocked communities in northern Mexico. The driver of the vehicle carrying the La Reyna de Monterrey musicians reportedly fell asleep.

According to the Associated Press via ABC News, the accident occured Saturday morning when the driver dozed off, causing the vehicle to hit the side of a truck and cross over into the other lane.

It then collided with a tractor-trailer head on, leaving ten band members dead and five other persons injured. The casualties’ ages ranged between 20 to 25 years old. Local media reported that the driver was himself a band member.

Details as to the names and identities of those who died and suffered injuries remain private as of this posting.

The horrific crash took place along a highway connecting Monterrey and Nuevo Laredo, the report said, moments after the band performed in a concert Friday night at Tamaulipas.
