Heart Evangelista denies she’s breaking up with Chiz Escudero. The actress said “it’s not going to happen” despite her parents’ opposition to her relationship with the senator.
“Chiz and I are very happy and I hope that, maybe not now but eventually, they can also be happy for me. They are my parents and I love them very, very much. Masakit talaga ang mga nangyayari,” she told ABS-CBN News.
Earlier, Heart’s parents accused Chiz of being “arrogant” and “alcoholic.” Mr. Ongpauco revealed that the senator was drunk when they first met, which made them feel that the politician doesn’t respect them.
The Ongpaucos, reports said, are planning to sue the lawmaker “for claiming that he is caught in the middle of a family feud” and for “meddling with, or disturbing the private life of another.”
Heart reportedly said Saturday she’s praying that the controversy will be put to rest and that she loves her parents no matter what.
“I think the best is to really just pray now. The only thing that I can do is to pray. That’s the first step. I really hope that my dad is okay. Nobody wants anything to happen to their parents. That’s why I think it’s better to pray na lang at this point kasi magulo pa ang lahat,” she said, according to the report. “I really pray that everything will just settle and everybody is... we’re all hurt now. This isn’t really doing any good to anybody. I really pray and I pray very hard na sana this all just finishes.”
The Kapuso artist reportedly said she’s thankful that her boyfriend stayed by her side throughout the ordeal.
