Erap fired at the incumbent mayor as he talked about the debt of the LGU to Meralco allegedly amounting to P872 million. Lim hit the former president by highlighting the plunder charges against him that led to his removal from office.
Tension further built up when Erap recalled how Lim visited him while he was on house arrest in Tanay, Rizal in 2004 and even “cried” while asking forgiveness. Lim belied Erap’s claims and said he would never shed a tear for a “criminal.”
